About me

I started my first digital job in 2006 as part of a school based apprenticeship. After this I moved into my first full time role as a front-end web developer in 2010 following my diploma graduation the same year.

Since then, I have been working in the industry building my skills and aligning them to career paths I enjoy most.

In the last 8 years starting with digital design I quickly focused on user interface and user experience design. This has led to a more research and leadership focused UX role.

In my current role as Design Manager at NAB within Everyday Banking, I lead a team of up to 13 designers across multiple disciplines, ensuring strategic alignment while maintaining the highest design standards. I have been instrumental in maintaining the organisation’s design practice, developing OKRs that integrate design principles with business goals, and building comprehensive design systems. In my previous role as part of a small team to begin with, I played a large part in building and shaping the design function from the ground up.

My role requires balancing resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining alignment with broader organisational priorities. I am responsible for statement-of-work planning, project budget management, forecasting, and full P&L oversight for my portfolio.

As Design Manager, I am committed to advancing my team’s careers and the field of design. I believe that all services should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities, and I am proud to play a part in making that a reality.
